I. Church
    A. Definition: Old Testament, Synagogue; New Testament, Assembly of Believers
    B. Word Study (Strongs)
         a. Greek – ekklesia, ek-klay-see’-ah
         b. A calling out, a popular meeting, a congregation of members on earth or saints in
             heaven or both.
    C. Giving in General – Matt. 5-7, Matt. 5:42, Luke 4

 

II. Giving to the Poor (def., Achtemeier)

  1. Re-established and Transformed by Jesus in the New Testament.

            4. Now, 17:100attend, at least 2x’s/wk, stating 2nd generation of
                un-churched.
